This hotel was originally built as a Cross Country Inn. Indus Hotels, and their capital partner, acquired the entire Cross Country Inn chain in 2003, and subsequently sold the majority of the hotels. This property was retained, and repositioned as the independent Varsity Inn® in 2006. The Varsity Inn concept was developed to provide quality accommodations for the value-conscious traveler looking to stay near The Ohio State University, Wexner Medical Center area, and The James Cancer Hospital.
