Embassy Suites by Hilton
Pittsburgh Downtown
Project History & Description
Situated in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh on the top 11 floors of the historic 25-story Henry W. Oliver Building, Embassy Suites by Hilton Pittsburgh Downtown features the building’s original stone, marble and terra cotta façade dating back to 1910, combined with modern elements and design. The hotel’s Sky Lobby on the 25th floor provides guests a memorable check-in experience, offering panoramic views of downtown Pittsburgh from 348 feet up.
Retaining the history of the building was an important aspect in the design. Artwork throughout the hotel reflects historical references of Henry W. Oliver and the architectural design of Daniel Burnham. The building was designated a Historical Landmark in 1974 by the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation. The hotel is incorporated into the hotel offering a mixed use facility of retail, office space, conference space and the hotel.
Embassy Suites by Hilton Pittsburgh Downtown offers 225 suites. The hotel, which is the only full service, all-suite hotel in downtown Pittsburgh, is owned by McKnight Realty Partners and managed by Indus Hotels.
